Le pull de la flemme / the lazy sweater

Je voulais un pull bleu. Je le voulais désespérément. Maaaaaais, je ne voulais pas m'embêter, il me fallait un truc simple. ARCHI SIMPLE, et du point mousse évidemment. 

Je fouille donc l'internet à la recherche d'un modèle easy, à tricotable en 5 (un truc archi simple j'ai dis, pas de petites aiguilles pour moi, merci), avec un col rond. Et là, pas moyen d'en trouver un! Jusqu'à ce que je pense à Garnstudio. Dieu merci, en deux clics sur le site, j'avais mon modèle, un échantillon qui colle à celui donné, et jolie laine qui ne demandait plus qu'à sauter sur mes aiguilles. 

Il s'agit donc du White Sand, proposé par Drops Design. 

De l'ultra basique; des côtes 1x1 pour le bas/col/bas des manches, et du point mousse en veux-tu en voilà, 3 arrêts de mailles pour les emmanchures, on fait tous les morceaux, on coud (c'est la partie que j'aime le moins, béni soit l'individu qui à inventer les aiguilles circulaires et les modèles fait en un morceau) tout ça, et voilà!
Seul le col se tricote avec les aiguilles circulaires, on relève les mailles et le tour est joué. 

J'ai aussi modifier les manches, que j'ai fais en 3/4, pour le style parce qu'il me manquait de la laine et que j'avais la flemme (encore!) de me mouvoir pour en acheter. 

Il est donc bleu et noir, il est doux, il est loose, il tient chaud.

I wanted a blue sweater. I wanted it desperately. Buuuut, I didn't something complicated, I needed something easy. SUPER DUPPER EASY, garter stitched of course.
I searched the whole internet for this pattern, needle 5 (something easy I said, no tiny needles for me, thank you), round collar. Impossible to find one, until Garnstudio came to my mind. thank God I thought about it, and in no time, I had my perfect pattern. All I had to do was to take out my yarns, patiently waiting to jump on my needles.
Let me introduce you to White Sand, by Drops Design.
So very basic; 1x1 ribs, garter stitch, just need to knit all the parts, a bit of sewing (I hate this part, god bless the one who created circular needles and pattern you can knit in one go) and tadaaaaam!
Only the collar is knitted with circular needles.

I changed the size of the sleeves that I decided to stop 3/4 because I like it better I was missing some yarn and was too lazy (yep!) to go buy some more.

It's black and blue, it's soft, it's big, it's warm.

Et la boucle est bouclée

I've being a bit very lazy on posting (or doing anything productive to be honest) for the past month, as I've had so many things coming up at the same time.

But last Saturday was a giant stay-in-my-pj-all-day day. I've watch tones of TV shows (I gave a try to once upon in wonderland and I freaking loved it, can't for the next episode to be released), drank a lot of tea, ate pretty much everything I could get my hands on and... crocheted! 

I wanted to crochet this doll for quite a while now, but hey, I can't get enough being lazy.

It so took me ages to finally have enough motivation to sit on my couch (very tiring isn't it?) and crochet this so pretty little thing.

This is a sheep doll I crochet thanks to lalylala's pattern.

I changed the whole body of the doll, I thought this kind of fluffy wool would be a thousand times prettier than the very specific stitch she uses on her pattern. And I was SO right. This hairy wool is just perfect for this doll, it makes it so adorable. 

I also changed the size of the crochet for the body part as the wool was slitghtly bigger than the other one. I ended up using a lot less yarn that i should have following the pattern. 

It's so soft, so cute. I just want to hold that little sheep all day.

Honestly, isn't it the cutiest thing ever? Like, really.

hmm, angora!

Il y a quelques temps, le frère de mon copain m'a rapporté deux pelotes d'une laine de laine angora incroyablement belles. Une jaune et une orange. ll m'a fallut une bon moment avant de trouver quoi en faire. Il y a deux jours, j'ai finalement décidé quelles deviendraient une écharpe. 

Quelle idiote j'ai été de faire uniquement du jersey endroit, qui a fait rouler les bords de mon écharpe la rendant un peu trop fine à mon goût. 

MAIS, il s'agit toujours de la laine la plus douce que je n'ai jamais touché. Et c'est la meilleure raison pour déjà aimer mon écharpe une peu trop fine.

A while ago my bf's brother brought me some amazingly beautiful angora rabbit wool. Two yarn, a yellow one, and an orange one. It took me quite a long time to find out what i wanted to do with these. 

Two days ago, I finally decided to knit a scarf. 

So stupid I was to use a stitch that made the sides of my scarf roll and make it a little too thin. 

BUT, it is still the softest wool I have ever touched. And that is the best reason to love this a-bit-to-thin scarf anyway.

Sweet baby pink wool #2

Un week-end sous la pluie implique du thé, ici rose-litchi qui donne une jolie couleur violette, du tricot, et bien évidemment, Harry Potter + les deux premiers épisodes de la saison 10 de Grey's anatomy. Qu'on se le dise, il est tout a fait impossible de pleurer ET tricoter en même temps.

A rainy weekend necessarily involves some tea, rose-litchi here which has a pretty purple color, some knitting, and of course, some Harry Potter movies + the first two episodes of the 10th season of grey's anatomy. You must agree, it is impossible to knit AND cry at the same time.

Ô soulagement que de te voir enfin finit mon amour de pull. 

Alors après être tombée sur ces jolies pelotes, je me suis lancée à la recherche d'un modèle à suivre. Oh rien de bien compliqué, je voulais du jersey et un col bateau. Un basique quoi. 

Mais là, pas moyen d'en trouver un seul, tricotable en un seul morceau.

Je suis bien loin d'être une experte niveau tricot, mais trop c'était trop. Après moultes réflexions, j'ai dis au diable le modèle, et me suis jetée la tête la première: j'ai griffonné mon propre modèle. 

Une grande première, et dieu sait que j'ai eu peur que le tout ne fonctionne pas à de multiples reprises pendant mon tricot. Surtout au moment de séparer les manches du corps (j'aurais mangé ce pull si celui-ci n'avait pas fait la bonne taille). 

Me voilà donc, une semaine plus tard, avec mon tout nouveau pull.

Une longue, longue semaine durant laquelle j'ai trimbalé mon sac à tricot partout, au boulot, à la fac, surtout à la fac. Une semaine pleine de regards de la part des étudiants, pensant très certainement que je suis un individu fort étrange; une semaine pleine de doutes quant à ce modèle écrit à la va-vite. 

Fort heureusement, le résultat n'est plutôt pas trop mal, non? Si?..

Ô such a relief to finally see you done my sweet, sweet sweater.

After finding these pretty hanks wool, I went looking for a pattern to follow. Nothing complicated, I wanted jersey and a boat neck. Well, let's say a basic! 

But! I couldn't find any! At least, not one I could have knit without any sewing.

I am so far to be an expert in knitting, but it was too annoying not to find any pattern. 

So, after many thoughts, I decided to make my own!

This was the very first time I was trying to knit something I designed myself, and to be honest, i freak out many time during knitting, especially when I had to separate the sleeves from the rest of the body (I would have eat the whole thing if it had happened not to fit in the end). 

And here I am, a week after, with my brand new sweater.

This was a long, long week. I have been taking my knitting bag everywhere with me, at work, at the university. Especially at the university. Oh, how many times did i had those looks from people who were probably thinking I was some weirdo. 

Fortunately, the result is quite good, isn't it? Isn't it?

Le problème maintenant est de lui trouver une place dans ma penderie, mais c'est une autre histoire.
The problem now is to find a way to fit my sweater into my closet, but this is another story.

Odette la New / First knitted sweater

Il y a un petit moment déjà (àpeuprésunanpourêtrehonnête), j'ai tricoté Odette la New, le tuto est proposé par la fantastique Aurélie du blog unpouleapetitspas. J'ai tellement aimé son pull que j'ai repris les même couleurs, à peu de chose prés.
Il s'agit d'un top-down, tricoté en un seul morceau, donc pas de couture (je pense que c'est une des raisons qui m'ont poussé à tricoter ce joli pull).
Voici donc le résultat :

A while ago now (ok,it'sbeenayear), i've knitted Odette la new, by the fantastique Aurélie from unepouleapetitspas.
I loved her sweater so much i used the same colors, more or less.
This sweater is a top-down, no sewing (I guess it's one of the reasons why I wanted to knit!) for Odette la New.
